The finger puppet (left) arrived via a Progress Resupply Vehicle and had been sent to Shannon Lucid by her children. "It was to remind me of our favorite game that I made up when they were little baby birdies," said the NASA-2 Mir Astronaut. The embroidered patch (right) arrived on a Progress and was made by a person while working in Mission Control Center - Moscow as a gift for Lucid.
